We took our first family vacation - just the four of us this past week. We went to Indianapolis, IN from Wednesday - Sunday. Day 1 we drove there, just hung out in our hotel room and went to dinner. Day 2 we went to an indoor water park called Caribbean Cove. It was Rocco's first experience swimming and he loved it. It was nice that it was indoors so we didn't have to worry about the sun affecting his skin or eyes. That night we went to dinner in the downtown area. Day 3 we went to the Children's Museum. It's the world's largest. It was neat but I think we were expecting it to be even better. Plus, some of the stuff was a little too young for Graham. But we still enjoyed it. We hung out downtown afterwards. Day 4 was supposed to be the zoo but it was too hot so instead we went to Rascall's Fun Zone (go karts, mini bowling, arcade games, etc.) and then went to dinner downtown again. Day 5 we drove home. Nathan and I have been at home with Rocco our last two days of vacation. I am not looking forward to going back to work. Here are some pics from Indy.

Recent Pictures
Here are some recent pictures. The above one is from when we went to Grant's Farm this past weekend. I was a little nervous about bringing Rocco somewhere like this b/c it would be the first time and I wasn't sure how he would do (with the sun and his light sensitivity). But we slapped some sunscreen on him. stayed in the shade as much as possible and put a hat and sunglasses on him (which he actually kept on pretty well) so it turned out great! I wanted to get a picture of Graham and Rocco in front of a Grant's Farm sign but that didn't happen. And Graham is missing from this above picture. He was off pressing a penny in one of those machines. He had a blast though b/c we went with our friend Michael and his girlfriend's 2 kids, Graylin and Gracie. Later that night, we all went to dinner at Cusumano's and it was so yummy!

Old vs. New
Not too much has been going on around the Meyer household. This weekend was a nice long and relaxing 4th of July weekend. Friday night we went to dinner and then over to see a friend's new house. Sat. I went to the pool with Kelly (my first pool time of the summer!) and later that night, Nathan and I went to dinner at The Drunken Fish and then to see the movie KNIGHT AND DAY. Sunday (the 4th) we just had my mom over and grilled. We watched the fireworks that our neighbors shot off. Rocco did pretty good with them. He would start shaking at the ones that make a lot of popping noise like gun shots but never cried. Today we just ran some errands and shopped.
We recently bought a new, fancy camera. The reason is because I got a big batch of pictures developed and poor Rocco's eyes looked so crazy in most of them. They look red with black in the middle. And sometimes the black part wouldn't be in the middle but instead off to the side - making it look even crazier. I don't want him to have these kinds of baby pictures or to grow up not wanting his picture taken so we bought a Digital SLR with a flash attachment. This way we can angle the flash so it's not right in his eyes and the pictures show the true color of his eyes (or pretty darn close). We're still learning how to use it best but I can tell a huge difference already. I'll post some pictures from the old camera and some with the new. Nathan tested it out at one of Graham's baseball games too so I'll post some of those also.
OLD CAMERA (You don't see the black dots that I was talking about b/c that happens when I would get them developed. But the red eyes are from the direct flash to the eyes.):
NEW CAMERA (Still learning with the flash attachment. More to come later.):
